Monterey Credit Union eStatement Disclosure

Monterey Credit Union (MontereyCU) is very pleased to announce that you can now view your statements, notices, Line-of-Credit (LOC) and Home Equity Line-of-Credit (HELOC) bills electronically. Electronic delivery is the most secure method of receiving your statement, avoiding identity theft due of stolen mail. Electronic statements (eStatements) will contain all the same information as paper statements and you will have the same opportunities to contact us about any errors or problems. As an added feature, members who opt for eStatements can also view their cleared check images online. You will need a computer with Internet access, a compatible web browser and an e-mail address. We ask that you take a moment to review the following disclosure and information.

You agree that you will be notified by e-mail to access a secure web site to receive future MontereyCU eStatements, eNotices, eLOC and eHELOC bills. If you require a paper copy of your account statement(s), notice(s), LOC or HELOC bill(s) that are not available via eStatements, you understand that you may contact MontereyCU and request a statement(s), notice(s), LOC or HELOC bill(s) to be mailed to the current address that the credit union has on file and that a nominal fee may be incurred.

You understand this authorization is for all statements, notices, LOC or HELOC bills only and you will continue to receive other credit union communications via U.S. Postal Service as necessary.

Since this will be an online version of your printed account statements, notices, LOC and HELOC bills, your eStatement will be updated monthly or quarterly depending on the transactions that you conduct each month, your eNotices will be updated depending on the transactions you conduct, and your LOC or HELOC bills will be updated monthly. Your eStatements, eNotices, eLOC and eHELOC bills will be available for the most recent 12 months of account activity.

To take advantage of this service, you will need a browser that is 128-bit encryption capable and is capable of running JavaScript, e.g., Internet Explorer 4.0 or later, Netscape Navigator 4.7 or later. You will also need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.

Should you change your e-mail address, you will need to enter your new address on the eStatement site. If we attempt to e-mail notification that your electronic statements are available and our e-mail is returned because your e-mail address is incorrect, we will not notify you. Monterey Credit Union is obligated only to make your statement available and to notify you of your statement''s availability at the e-mail address supplied to us. It is your responsibility to provide and update your correct e-mail address.

You understand that you will no longer receive the account statements, notices, LOC and HELOC bills via U.S. Postal Service. If you choose to discontinue receiving eStatements, you may do so by modifying your Statement Delivery Preference on the eStatement List page – this is the first page you receive after logging into HomeBanking and clicking on the eStatement icon. You will then automatically resume receiving paper statements, notices, LOC and HELOC bills and your statements, notices, LOC and HELOC bills and cleared check images will not be available via the eStatements web site.

You must agree to these policies before enrolling in MontereyCU Electronic Statements.
